Back in the Saddle Again.....yeehaw!
Now that the holidays are over, I'm knee deep in painting. Finished 4 yesterday: one large green/ocher/cream abstract, a 20x20 square knife painting of Spring woods, a 16 x 20 rainy day in greens/purple/melon/metallic gold/blue, and an 8x8 square-- pink background w/black trees on a deep gallery wrap canvas. No pics today, I'll try to get some up next time.
My exhibit at the Sunspot Natural Food store is over, great response to the work but no sales during the Christmas season.

Back in the Saddle!
Autumn Fire
Back in the saddle again! After a short hiatus while working on craft show art, painting has resumed. This 16x20 on gallery wrapped canvas was done as a house warming gift for friends. I'm inspired to do more rainy day scenes AND some pure abstract work. Only time will tell where my muse leads me.
I've also made some jewelry for an upcoming craft show and I'm listing some on Etsy. I'll put some pictures up here for show and tell.

Amazonite Necklace
You can go to my Etsy site to the right to see more jewelry. I've focused mainly on natural stones, such as Amazonite, Jasper, Sodalite, Agate, Amethyst and many others. So far I've made necklaces and earrings with sterling silver and antiqued brass findings.
Current home project is moving my studio from it's summer shed to it's winter quarters in the garage. Most of the space has been cleared, a trip to the town dump to get rid of some excess junk and furniture is in order. Then I'll have more room. There's a large gas heater/blower that needs to me checked out and turned on by a professional. Then it should be warm and toasty in the cold winter months.
That's all for now!

2008 Gourd Preview
These are some of the gourds I've been working on for the Feast of the Hunter's Moon next week.
It's only a small fraction of the total I'll be taking to the Feast. I'm really getting excited. They've begun to put up the shelters, etc at the park and mowing the road edges in the area! Soon the temporary traffic signs will be up! This reminds me that I only have a week to finish getting ready!
It's time to get out the costumes and check them out. Dan says he lost his garters, he will have to use something else until they can be replaced. I'm ready for a new vest and petticoat! Shopping at the Feast is so much fun! (That's me in the picture)
